A youth's ability to "learn how to succeed" is of paramount importance in today's economy. The ability to compete for scholarships and avoid "Student loans" is of great concern to parents and their wallets. This is where we help - we strive to provide them with the tools needed to be first out of the starting blocks. These ages are the most critical in personal development and a time when they need to gain an edge, learn, strengthen and or otherwise enhance the skills needed to navigate through this awesome and complex world we live in.
FALCON FLIGHT SQUADRON provides:
1 - Motivation/Preparation/Education in 3 Professional Disciplines
2 - Physical Fitness/Nutrition training (exercise regimen)
3 - Military-Style Instructional Discipline&Guidance
Training is accomplished through attention to detail, a wide array of subjects following a chosen targeted field and in a family like atmosphere. We eliminate the desire to be in the street, "hang out" all day at the mall or join a gang and do so in a manner that will put them in the best possible position to compete and excel. The (Boot Camp - like) Cadet program is designed not only to get the students headed in the direction of 1 of 3 professions but to gain valuable knowledge in advance and to drive the student to achieve the very best in one of the available career paths:
3 Areas of Focus + 3 Professions = 1 Goal
Launching Physical Fitness 1 Hour Special
Our program designed to start around the time parents get off of work after 5:30pm, there has been some interest in doing something earlier. As interest grows we are developing a 1 hour special class for those who really need to concentrate on physical fitness by dedicating more time that is specially designed for those who seek weight reduction or need strength building via a combination of various types of cardiovascular exercises. The time will be between 4:30 pm - 5:30pm.
Unlike other programs, we do not simply focus on one avenue but multiple ways to achieve our primary goal which is to help youth build the skills necessary to become successful. Cadets will become physically fit, learn social interaction skills, general survival tools and increased their knowledge of nutrition and the importance of maintaining good health. We strive to develop characteristic traits such as honor, respect and discipline.
Although military like we are not affiliated with nor advocate any military service. Students are however subjected to a boot camp like atmosphere utilizing proven military style tools and tactics that will build and shape well rounded individuals with outstanding character, courage and commitment. Cadets are constantly challenged on the "blacktop" and in a classroom setting. They develop skills through our utilization of military marching, drills and cadence techniques.
Advanced knowledge is shared ranging from day to day living to specifics in the various professional areas in order to compete on every level with those who are fortunate to have unlimited resources. Both academic progress and physical attributes are continuously monitored evaluated and improvement is mandatory.
Cadets can participate in sport activities, perform in parades as a part of the drill team or honor guard under the Falcon Flight Squadron Banner. Students are allowed into the program with a “C” average but will have 2 semesters to reach a “B” average and must maintain it to remain in good standing.
